Our Mission
The Washington State Special Education Coalition was formed in 1977 to bring parent and professional organizations together in a spirit of cooperation to share information, explore issues and effectively advocate for quality education for all children, particularily those with special needs in Washington State.
Guiding Principles
- To identify unmet needs of children with disabilities.
- To provide a unified voice in support of appropriate programs, funding and staff training.
- To be a statewide public awareness force, providing decision makers with up to date information about special education.
