About CABF The Child and Adolescent Bipolar Foundation (CABF) is a parent-led, not-for-profit, Web-based membership organization of families raising children diagnosed with, or at risk for, early-onset bipolar disorder. Children’s Long-term Inpatient Program (CLIP)

The CLIP Programs serve children up to the age of 17 who have been diagnosed with a serious psychiatric illness. The children must be residents of the state of Washington The CLIP Administration is responsible for policy and clinical decision making regarding admission to Washington state’s five CLIP Programs. The CLIP Administration is also the statutory placement authority for adolescents involuntarily committed for up to 180 day of inpatient care (RCW 71.34). The CLIP Administration assists the Mental Health Division of the Department of Social and Health Services (DSHS/MHD) with monitoring the care provided by the CLIP Programs.

Community Connectors

Community Connectors is a statewide network for families of children with emotional, behavioral, or mental health disorders. This network links families and groups together for the purpose of giving support, sharing information and identifying resources in their local communities.

NAMI Eastside

NAMI Eastside is the East King County chapter of the National Alliance for the Mentally Ill (NAMI). Our members include families, friends, and people with mental illnesses such as schizophrenia, bipolar disorder (manic depression), major depression, obsessive compulsive disorder, general anxiety disorder and ADHD. We sponsor free support groups and educational programs, and we advocate for improvements to our mental health delivery system in terms of access to care, standards of care, continuity of care, recovery, housing and rehabilitation. We welcome new members and invite you to join us at one of our support groups or other regularly planned events.

SAFE WA

SAFE WA is a network of family organizations focused on supporting parents and caregivers raising children with emotional, behavioral, or mental disorders. SAFE WA assists organizations in sustaining, strengthening and expanding their local networks. SAFE WA fosters partnerships with child-serving systems to increase the common voice of parents and caregivers in all child-serving systems and provides various types of trainings.
